Millbridge Junior Infant and Nursery School

Welcome to Millbridge Junior Infant and Nursery School

I am delighted to welcome you to the Millbridge website and introduce you to our vibrant school where children are happy, settled and confident, learning the strategies that will enable them to thrive in life.

Our children’s wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do. We encourage them to work hard, concentrate, try new things, push themselves, persevere and do their best. Every child is valued, and their individual successes are recognised and celebrated.

The passion and commitment of our leadership team and from the SHARE Multi-Academy Trust are helping us to achieve our vision for the school, encouraging children to develop into well-rounded, self-assured and respectful individuals who will continue to succeed at secondary school and beyond.

I encourage you to have a look round our website then come and visit the school to see for yourself the exciting range of activities we offer and the happy young people who attend Millbridge.

We hope to welcome you soon.

Su Aaron-Abel, Headteacher

Important news :

We have been made aware via some news channels of a concerning challenge on social media and feel that this is an appropriate time to remind parents and children about the importance of remaining vigilant online. We have lots of information available in school and on our website about online safety and if you would like any further advice on how to keep your child safe online, please speak to a member of staff in school. The key messages that parents and teachers regularly reinforce to children in school are:
-ensuring that parents know what their children can access online
- ensure children understand the importance of not giving personal information to anyone they do not know
- tell children no-one has the right to make them do anything they do not want to do
- using effective and rigorous parental controls to keep children safe
As mentioned, if you feel like you need any advice or support on these matters, please pop in and speak to one of us in school.
Thank you for your continued and amazing support
